rFJ is an experienced WRITER/DIRECTOR in the Los angeles film scene
A vivid storyteller and award winning filmmaker, Ryan has been making films since he was a child. His work has been featured in many film festivals such as USA Film Festival, LA Shorts International Film Festival, Edmonton International Film Festival, as well as the curated short film website Short of the Week.
He attended film school at the Colorado Film School in Denver, CO, where he met many of his current collaborators. He moved to Los Angeles in 2015, where he co-founded the production company Denver Hamlet with some of his fellow Colorado Film School alumni.
His work often explores the moments where the mundane meets the sublime, where uncomfortable, vulnerable, and dark feelings and emotions are brought to the fore, where sometimes the only way out is through.
